My name is Desaray S. Ross. I am a Mother, Realtor®️ & Notary Signing Agent and a Community Activist though my non-profit Phase Three Center, Inc. I am a double hometown native of Boston, MA (childhood thru mid-teenage years) and Sumter, SC (mid-teenage years- thru present). I also call Columbia and Charleston SC home through years of work, play, friends & family.
I’ve spent most of my adult years professionally in Customer Service and Case Management, both of which have tied in effortlessly with my ever-growing Notary and Real Estate Businesses. Through my roles in customer service, I’ve learned how to listen, be patient and guide customers to finding and understanding the proper solutions. I’ve also acquired the skill of problem solving, whether it be that I am doing my own research, or I am utilizing team members that are able to provide with a different perspective and/or alternative solutions. Case Management has strengthened all of these skills, while also aiding me in the development of managing multiple clients/cases at once. I am huge of partnerships and swear by the need for them in both personal and professional development.
Although my professional career has assisted in molding me into the strong businesswoman that I am today, nothing has grounded and taught me more about patience, sharpened my listening and continuous learning skills and both taught me the importance of having empathy, while also standing ten toes down on what you say than being a mother. “Mom” has been the hardest, most rewarding position that I have held to date. It has helped me to be a well-rounded Woman.
On a personal level, I find so much joy in community. I love sparking conversations with new people and grabbing lunch and drinks with old friends. I am an open book and I’m willing to help anyone achieve their goals, ESPECIALLY when they are similar to mines. I speak my mind (the northerner in me), laughter, good food/drinks, and signing/dancing will forever be a form of therapy for me. I love traveling and being afforded the opportunity to show my children the world. I genuinely want the best for everyone around me and I don’t think that there is a soul on this earth, that knows me personally, that would attest to anything different.
